'How I learnt'

In 2005 I did an MA course, @UWE Bristol. It was marvellous I had the opportunity to work and learn in every department of the University Art faculty. I became very playful and experimental. (I wrote my thesis on the relationship of play and structure in creativity) I was playing in the textiles department using dye sublimation and was experimenting with different materials and discovered it worked amazingly on Acrylic. I then did a huge amount of research into the thermal properties of polymers and did hundreds if test strips and experiments. My jewellery collection was born. So it was a process of discovery rather than being taught.

I am all for being playful combined with a keen awake eye so you spot something new and work on perfecting it until it is something good.
