I found this Beautiful Jersey Tiger Moth on My window sill today. I was blown away by how gorgeous it was! I managed to encourage him back up out of the window with out damaging him.  He is now back out there flying around.
A moth expert friend of mine said this about it
"Hi Sue - t's called a Jersey Tiger . Its both a day and night flyer. Still considered quite rare nationally but spreading! You are on the outer fringe of its range. Until 1990's was restricted to the South Coast of Devon where I first encountered it at my Grandad'd funeral in the 1980's. Good result!"
