This black cuff and clear striped is individually made using blades of grass like stencils. I collect the blades of grass then dry and press them. Then apply them to the recycled Perspex. They are embossed onto the surface so you can see the surface texture of the grass. I wanted to create a design that played with depiction of reality and abstraction. The tips of the grass bend and curve and describe their origins so there is a tension created with the striped grass which can be read as pure pattern. A stunning contemporary cuff bracelet.
