CHOOSING CUFF BANGLE SIZE!

CHOOSING CUFF BANGLE SIZE!

Cuff fit, and Measurement. How to choose the right size for you!

I am often asked, “How do I choose which size cuff bangle will be right for my wrist?” So I am going to discuss everything about cuff size in this blog post. We are all different fabulous shapes and sizes, so it is best to get the right size for you, both for the cuff's circumference and the gap size. Cuffs should be worn close to the wrist on your arm. I have been asked, “How big should a cuff be?” My answer is that it should not be skin-tight, nor should you be able to it loosely move around the wrist. It needs to be 1 or 2 cm bigger than your wrist size. Any more than that and it will fall off too easily.  When buying a cuff bangle, the Gap size is also important. The Gaps size on my cuffs varies from size to size to reflect smaller or larger bone/wrist sizes. The image below shows a cuff that fits well.

BESPOKE

I also make bespoke sizes as none of us are standard-sized!! I can adjust the gap or total circumference of a cuff. I am happy to resize cuffs for you if you have bought a cuff and it is not quite the right fit!

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR WRIST

Measure your wrist with a dress makers tape as below.

Or Measure with a piece of thread, tape, string, or anything similar. Wrap it around your wrist and then keep the mark with a pen or with your finger and measure the length with a ruler.

How to put on a cuff

Cuffs can be put on two ways:

  1. Slide them over the wrist or slide them down the hand with the thumb in the cuff and the gap on the little finger side. This side of your wrist is thinner than the thumb side of your hand. I find this is the best method.
  2. Slide them over your wrist at your narrowest point

So, to get the right fit not too tight or hard to get on and not too baggy and falling off, first measure your wrist. Then consult the size chart to find your size. If you want a bespoke size just order the item and send me an email with your instruction about the exact size and gap size, you would like and I will make one up for you to fit yours perfectly. I hope you enjoy wearing your cuff.
