About - Sue Gregor
Sue Gregor MA, is a renowned and award-winning master jeweller. With a passion for innovation and sustainability, Sue has captivated audiences nationally and internationally with her Botanic recycled plastic jewellery collection. Since establishing her business in 2005, she has been dedicated to crafting contemporary pieces adorned with intricate wildflowers and leaf designs.
Sue's journey began with a simple observation during her city walks in Bristol. She observed the tenacity of plants flourishing in seemingly inhospitable waste grounds. This experience inspired her on a personal level and ignited her creativity. Sue believes that connecting with nature brings a sense of well-being, and she strives to share this sentiment with others through her jewellery.

What sets Sue's work apart is her commitment to craftsmanship and individuality. She handmakes every item using real, unique leaves and flowers to bring her designs to life. The foliage undergoes a careful collection, drying, and pressing process before being composed into magnificent patterns using Sue's distinctive technique. As the leaves perish in the creation process, each piece becomes one-of-a-kind work of art. The process Sue developed during her MA studies. Her Recycled Plastic accessories serve as memories of the individual leaf or flower, conveying a powerful narrative of nature reclaiming the man-made and juxtaposing the synthetic with the wild.
Sustainability lies at the heart of Sue's practice. The Perspex material she uses is 100% recycled and free from volatile organic compounds and hydrofluorocarbon, making it an environmentally friendly choice. By repurposing plastic waste into ethical and sustainable jewellery, Sue actively contributes to reducing the impact of plastic pollution.
Each of Sue's cuffs, earrings, and necklaces showcases intricate surface relief, beautifully capturing the delicate details of the plants. With an affinity for rich, flamboyant colours, Sue's designs reflect her lifelong study of colour theories. She skilfully incorporates her vast knowledge into her creations, drawing inspiration from ancient and contemporary patterns and textile designs. Sue creates evocative and timeless interpretations of classic and stylish designs using foliage. Her jewellery is more than just adornment; it is wearable art that celebrates her deep reverence for nature and passes on this connection to those who wear her contemporary pieces.
